JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a talented ESG & Communications Officer in our Communications and ESG Department. The successful candidate should have a Communications or Marketing background with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar function in a similar environment.

You will be responsible for leading and implementing the company’s communication strategies, both internal and external, while also supporting the implementation of ESG initiatives. You will work closely together with various departments, external resources and report directly to the Chief ESG, Communications & Legal Officer (CLO)

 

TASKS

The ESG & Communications Officer undertakes full responsibility: 

ESG Role: 30% 
  1. ESG Strategy Development and Implementation: 
  • Implement existing ESG strategy aligned with the company’s mission and values. 
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of these ESG initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. 
  • Coordination with different departments to implement these initiatives. 
  • Close collaboration with the Chief ESG officer and the Green Team (a group of volunteers throughout the organisation) to implement smaller local initiatives. 

2. ESG Reporting: 

  • Collect, analyze, and report on qualitative and quantitative data for ESG reporting 4 times a year for external parties and in compliance with relevant standards. 
  • Update and draft companies’ sustainability reports.  
  • Ensure transparency and accuracy in reporting ESG performance and progress. 
  • Report on progress against KPIs to senior management and relevant stakeholders. 

3. CSRD: (new) 

  • Coordinate the implementation of the new CSRD legislation internally with an external partner. 
  • Work with legal and finance teams to address this new regulation. 

 

COMMUNICATION: 70% 
  1. Internal Communication:
  • Develop internal communication strategy for the company.  
  • Regularly draft content for the company intranet and manage the internal community. 
  • Coordinate all internal communication tools, including the intranet and internal communication events on a quarterly basis. 
  • Moderate and set-up quarterly hybrid company meetings.  
  • Improve internal communication tools to enhance engagement and information flow within the organization. 
  • Keep branding guidelines, presentations and toolkits up to date. 
  1. External Communication:
  • Develop and execute communication strategies to promote the company through various channels (e.g., press releases, social media, company website). 
  • Develop and maintains various communications channels and materials. 
  • Ensure website contents remain relevant. 
  • Monitor media alerts and relevant publications. 
  • Create interactive social media contents and campaigns.  
  • Produce needed content and script for educational and marketing videos. 
  • Write company announcements and news articles on key developments. 
  • Ensure all content complies with company standards and style guides. 
  • Create reports for all communication campaigns. 
  • Work on all types of communication materials, both offline and online, with the support of an in-house designer and a communication agency. 
  • Develop and manage the communication budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. 
  • Develop, monitor and implement the brand identity of A.forall. 
  1. Event Coordination:
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate the company’s annual participation to a big international. pharmaceutical fair, ensuring all logistics and promotional activities are handled efficiently. 
  • Work with vendors, sponsors, and partners to secure participation and support for the event. 
  • Develop and manage the event budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. 
  • Promote the fair through various channels to maximize attendance and engagement. 
  • Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to improve future events. 
  • Involvement in the organization of other smaller internal and external professional and social events. 

 

YOUR PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

The successful candidate has a bachelor’s degree in marketing or communication or equivalent and has at least  3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar function.

  • Effective Communicator: Excellent written and verbal skills, able to craft clear, engaging messages for diverse audiences. 
  • Digital Proficiency: Skilled in managing digital platforms, especially LinkedIn, and creating content aligned with the company’s brand. 
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: Efficient in managing multiple projects with precision, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. 
  • Confident Speaker & Event Coordinator: Comfortable with public speaking and experienced in coordinating events that align with strategic goals. 
  • Language: Fluent in English, with Dutch or French as an asset. 
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, with knowledge of WordPress, InDesign and Photoshop being a plus. 
  • Adaptable: Thrive in fast-paced environments, handling tight deadlines with resilience and focus.
