BD Business Analyst / Portfolio Manager – Generics

We are currently looking for a talented BD Business Analyst/Portfolio Manager to be involved in our Generics Business Unit.

Reporting to the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for Data Analysis and preparation of Business Cases whilst supporting the portfolio selection for EU/ROW.


The BD Business Analyst/Portfolio Manager undertakes full responsibility:

  1. Data-analysis and portfolio
    1. Prepare data analysis for business development department as part of the evaluation of new business opportunities.
    2. Prepare and update business cases for new and existing products and maintain and continuous overview of the available business cases.
    3. Prepare Market Analysis for portfolio products using IQVIA data and other sources enabling the commercial department in their strategic licensing business.
    4. Provide the necessary market data used for budgeting in the commercial department
  2. Suupport portfolio selection EU/ROW
    1. Generate new products idea using available sources of information.
    2. Prepare proper rationale for product ideas.
    3. Support selection of partners for selected product ideas (CDMO, co-development and marketing partners
  3. Other
    1. Prepare market overviews, business cases and presentation etc. for corporate tasks as requested by senior management.
    2. Continuous review and improvement of existing data tools.
    3. Support licensing activities of the department. Maintaining updated database of licensing suppliers
    4. Participation in fairs and exhibitions


  • Minimum Qualification: Scientific degree (preferable Pharmacy degree or Life Sciences) or Business degree.
  • Minimum Experience: Entry level experience (2-4 years) in the pharmaceutical industry. Previous experience with Market and Competition analysis and/or Licensing is an asset.
  • Languages: Very good English (written and oral). Other languages are an asset.
  • Good, open and positive communication skills; both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Analytical approach and good understanding of analytical tools.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work with and maintain overview of big volumes of data.
  • Good IT skills especially with Excel (advanced) and Power Point.
  • Ability to contribute proactively to a continuous learning and process improvement environment.
